About the Nominating Committee

This committee is constituted according to the association bylaws. The main purpose is to identify potential candidates to serve on the Board of Directors; identify the best candidates; agree on a set of nominees and then determine their willingness to serve.

The committee receives and reviews nomination forms from individuals willing to serve as well as from individuals recommending a friend or neighbor they believe could contribute to the administration of the association.

There are no set meetings of the committee. Since discussions will involve specific individuals and personal information, committee meetings are attended only by committee members who are bound not to discuss those details outside of the meeting.

The committee can make as many nominations for election to the Board of Directors as it shall in its discretion determine, but not less than the number of vacancies that are to be filled. Such nominations may be made from among members or non-members.

For 2013, there are two Board members whose terms are up. All terms for the Board are three (3) year terms. If you are interested in running for the Board, please review the criteria below and return this form to the nominating committee.

What are the duties of a Board Member?

• Attend monthly Board meetings
• Volunteer your time to the Loft Ridge Homeowners Association, making decisions as a Board that will benefit the community
• Act as a voice for the community
