Heating and Air Conditioning 

Like most people in the area, I fear the level of service I'm going to 

receive when I pick up the phone for contractor/home repair service.  I'm 

happy to say I will never have to worry about HVAC service in the future.  I 

have truly found the best service I have EVER received in the northern 

Virginia area from Bettius Mechanical/HVAC:

Mike Bettius came to my home personally to provide an estimate.  He could 

have sold me a much more expensive unit with all the "bell and whistles" but 

he advised me on which things I really needed to have for my home.  From 

estimate to installation the process took less than a week.  A large portion 

of the work was completed on the weekend to fit my schedule.  Oh, and he 

beat the other three price estimates. 

When Mike left my home he told me to call anytime night or day if I had a 

problem.  Just this weekend (Sunday) I was moving some stuff around in the 

A/C "closet" and broke the PVC condensation drain line. (totally my fault) 

I gave Mike a call at 10:00 am on Father's Day Sunday to find out what I 

could do for a temporary fix until he was available to come over during the 

week to fix the unit.  Mike said he would be over in an hour from his home 

in the Woodbridge area and in an hour he was at my door.  In about 45 minutes 

he had replaced the drain line.  When I asked him what I owed him he just 

shook my hand and said "no charge". 

You just don't find this kind of service anywhere anymore.  You won't see a 

fleet of Bettius trucks on the road.  They are a small family owned business 

and you can tell Mike cares that his name is on the business.  If you want 

another recommendation, take a look at the rating for Bettius in Checkbook 

magazine.

CULLEN ELECTRIC

This is the second time that I've Used Joe Cullen for electrical work.  He lives over in Bush Hill, so is clearly tied to our local community.  Most recently, I had him run a wire from our Breaker Box up to the kitchen in order to install an over the range Microwave.  He mentioned to me that he would have to cut a couple of holes and I was expecting the worse, however, they were only about three inches long by one inch wide.  Just big enough to run his snake and pull the wire thru.  Extremely professional job and he came in under the initial estimate.

He is licensed and insured, and is capable of doing any type of electrical work you require such as lights, ceiling fans, bathroom fans etc.
